Everyone knows how exciting Friday night football games are. Especially when you are up in the student section. The energy is unmatched, school pride radiates through the section. However, it is also important to be mindful of the people around you, and while it is okay to have fun, it is just as important to be respectful. Here are some student section guidelines that can help you have a great Friday night lights experience!

Being on Theme - Not only is it very fun to follow the theme, but it represents us as Garnet Valley students at the game. Some themes, like Unite for Her Pink Out and Minithon Gold Out themes, also support important clubs and organizations!

Seniority in the Section - While it seems annoying as an underclassmen, it is important to think about how it is what you would want once you are a Senior or Junior. So keep in mind, seniors in the front, then Juniors, then Sophomores, followed by the freshman. Everyone will get their chance. It is just as fun to be in the back!

Be Respectful - We are all there to have fun and show GV school spirit, but it's important to be respectful of those around you. Limit shoving as much as possible, make sure language is school appropriate, and be mindful that people are there to watch what is going on too.

Trash - Do not leave your trash for others to pick up. Be responsible and clean up after yourself, you would not want to be the one that has to clean it up for someone else.

Throwing Things - Do not throw things at other students, water bottles, food, signs, shirts, etc. Someone could easily get hurt if they are not paying attention or the intended receiver. It is also disruptive to those around you, you do not want to be the kind of person who is known for throwing things, or get disciplined for it.

Have Fun - One of the most important things to do is have fun! Bring a good attitude to the section and get hype because it is always a great day to be a Jaguar!
