Lily Mellinger has earned a spot in the juried 2026 National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) K-12 Exhibition with her ceramic containers.
Mellinger's work was selected from an exceptionally competitive pool of 1,051 entries, with only 150 pieces chosen for the exhibition. Among the submissions, 752 came from competing juniors and seniors, making her achievement particularly noteworthy.
Her ceramics will be shipped to Detroit, Michigan, where they'll be displayed at the NCECA convention later this March. The exhibition is expected to attract over 3,000 visitors, providing significant exposure for the young artist's work.
