To get into the holiday spirit, I decided to ask people one simple but very important question: What’s your favorite Christmas or holiday movie? From classic comedies to magical adventures, everyone has that one film they have to watch every December. So I sent out a survey to find out which movie people enjoy the most, and the results were way more interesting than I expected!
These movies didn’t get a ton of votes, but they still made the list!
- Charlie Brown Christmas
- The Princess Switch
- Christmas Vacation
- National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
- Love Actually
4th Place: How the Grinch Stole Christmas (11.9%)
The Grinch didn’t steal Christmas this time… but he did manage a respectable chunk of votes. Not bad for a green guy who lives on a mountain and hates everything.
3rd Place: Elf (19%)
Buddy the Elf spread enough Christmas cheer to take third. Maybe it’s the syrup on spaghetti. Maybe it’s the chaotic energy. Either way, it’s a fan favorite and it’s iconic!
2nd Place: The Polar Express (14.3%)
Punch your golden ticket, this magical train made a strong showing. The Polar Express came in as a clear second place, winning over voters with hot chocolate, jingling bells, and Tom Hanks playing literally every character.
1st Place: Home Alone (40.5%)
Kevin McCallister didn’t just defend his house, he dominated the entire poll.
Almost half the voters picked Home Alone as their favorite holiday movie, proving once again that booby-trapping your whole house is, apparently, the true spirit of Christmas.
This poll proves one thing:
Home Alone is still the undefeated king of Christmas movies!
Whether it’s the slapstick comedy, the chaotic energy, or the satisfaction of watching two burglars get destroyed by an 8-year-old, it continues to win hearts every holiday season!
